Olivia is a third-year associate attorney at Manion Stigger, LLP, a leading boutique construction law firm in Louisville, Kentucky, with clients nationwide. She focuses her practice on commercial construction litigation, leveraging her strong business and construction background to offer practical and effective legal solutions. She has experience in both private and public sectors of construction, navigating federal, state, and local procurement laws, drafting and arguing motions and pleadings, and conducting discovery in complex litigation. In addition, Olivia has first-hand arbitration and mediation experience in national, multi-million-dollar construction disputes.
With a strong academic foundation—graduating third in her class from the University of Louisville, Brandeis School of Law, and holding a double major in economics and business management from the University of Kentucky—Olivia is exceptionally equipped to provide comprehensive legal counsel. Having been a bookkeeper for a large general contractor with offices throughout the Southeastern United States during her final year in college and coming from a family of contractors, she realized she had an interest in construction law, and she began clerking for Manion Stigger in January 2020, during her second semester of law school.
Since that time Olivia has had various opportunities to foster a deeper understanding of the unique issues construction law presents, including, aiding a professor in labor law research during law school, interning for Louisville Metro Council and researching urban development and zoning laws, negotiating contracts, and actively working on litigation for both federal and private contractors on issues relating to delays, defective work, OSHA matters, surety claims, and mechanics’ liens. As such, Olivia understands the construction client’s need to have an attorney well versed in the various facets of construction law and who is capable of handling complex issues in order to achieve the best result.
